Spartan Badminton 2018
The 2018 Spartan badminton team worked hard all season but are currently in a rebuild phase. The 60-member team averaged approximately 3-5 medals at most of their tournaments and went into county competition with high hopes for good results. The team did not disappoint with 31 members of the team advancing to zone competition. The entire team played very well at zones and cumulatively won the 3A/4A badminton team title for the ninth time in eleven years. It is truly a team effort as each win at zones garners one point for the team, so a few players doing well are not enough to win – every player picked up points along the way to help win the banner. At zones, no players also managed to qualify for provincials; but the team had two bronze medals overall.
