Wearing an Orange Shirt on September 30th is meant to recognize the harm done to residential school students and share a commitment to the principle that every child matters. Students are asked to submit designs that: - Reflect their interpretation and understanding of Orange Shirt Day, - Show creativity and originality, and - Presents the topic in an interesting way that can help others understand Orange Shirt Day. - The official title for Orange Shirt Campaign is: Every Child Matters. You are welcome to include that text in your design, but it is not mandatory When: - Submissions by May 15th, contest winner chosen June 6th - Designs must be original artwork, free of any copyrighted images. All entries must include the students’ full name, school, grade, plus a contact number or email. The winning design will be featured on shirts across GHSD and be framed and displayed at Division Office for public viewing. Please submit to Dana Yemen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
