Strathmore High School Golf Tryouts

Sign-up for Golf Tryouts by sending an email to Mr. Clark at wes.clark@ghsd75.ca or Ms.
Williams at jennifer.williams@ghsd75.ca You can also visit Mr. Clark in Room 121 or Ms.
Williams in Room 114. In your email please provide your name, grade and your golf hdcp/average
score. 

There is no cost to attend tryouts, so we encourage anyone interested to attend the
following dates:
Tuesday, September 5 th 3:30 – 4:30 pm at Strathmore Golf Course Driving Range
Wednesday, September 6th 9-holes of golf at Strathmore Golf Course
o Tee Time #1 4:00 pm
o Tee Time #2 4:08 pm
o Tee Time #3 4:15 pm
o Tee Time #4 4:23 pm
o Tee Time #5 4:30 pm

After the 9-hole Tryout the lowest five scores and ties for both the boys and girls will be
invited to play a second 18-hole round of golf at Strathmore Golf Club. This will take place
on Tuesday, September 12 th.
The SHS Golf Team will be made up of the top five boys and the top five girls. Each
member of the golf team will have a fee of $80.00 added to their online fees. The golf
team will then participate in two more nine-hole practice rounds. This will take place on
Wednesday, September 13 th beginning at 4:00pm and again on Friday, September 15 th , also
beginning at 4:00 pm. The golf team will then compete for the Zone Championship which will be
held at Strathmore Golf Course on Monday, September 18 th . The students will miss the entire
day and are responsible for planning with their teachers for the missed work.
Players can qualify for the Provincial Championship both as an individual as well as a team.
Provincials will be held on Monday, September 25 th and Tuesday, September 26 th . The Provincial
tournament will be held in Lloydminster, Alberta.
